Green Meetings Calculator User Guide



The ICAO Green Meetings Calculator (IGMC) provides an easy-to-use interface consistent with the ICAO Carbon Calculator methodology that can support decision-making to select venues for meetings with the minimal carbon footprint from air travel. This calculator generates an optimal location for a meeting in terms of CO2 emissions, taking into consideration the city of origin and the number of participants, as well as other parameters. While many factors may affect the decision on where a meeting being held, the calculator facilitates the planning process in the following steps.



1. Register.
If you are a continuous user of this green meeting calculator, you could consider to register on this website. Therefore, the meeting planned will be saved in your account when you log in next time. If you are visiting the website for one time, you could skip this process.

2. Meeting information.
Input the Event Name, the Event Date and the Premium class threshold. Input the locations from the combo box, then enter the number of attendees. It is also optional that you could choose a preferred location.

3. Saved events.
If you have registered, your event will be saved in your account. Choose the event you saved from the drop down list the Event Name.

4. Outputs of recommended locations
Click “Calculate” to see the result. The locations can be displayed on the map if you tick on the map option. The location list is also downloadable in an excel format.
